To ensure real commitment, we try and contribute with more than just money – being involved we gain insight and are able to direct support with accuracy.
All circumstances are unique – our involvements range from sitting on governing bodies to arranging “hands on” working bees.
Understanding areas where you are prepared to help is essential – we value the ability to be flexible but our preferences are – young people, adventure pursuits, disadvantaged circumstances and Māori advancement.
Philanthropy is succinctly described as, “the love of humanity, in the sense of caring and nourishing”. We like the variety and scale possible under the description – our experience suggests an empathy to circumstances is also necessary to have the best outcome.
